In cooperation with the Municipality of Zgharta – Ehden, the Federation of Zgharta District Municipalities and the “Y9 Sports” group, Al Midan NGO organized a 3×3 Basketball tournament at the Martyr Tony Bek Frangieh stadium in the town of Sereel, Zgharta.
More than 50 players from Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar, Zgharta, Meziara and Toula participated in the event. Two teams from the Lebanese basketball national team also participated. Players were divided into three categories: eight teams for men, four for women, and four under 18.
The cash prizes were distributed to the winners in the presence of the Mayor of Sereel Mr. Yousef Bu Elias, the Director of Al-Midan NGO, Mrs. Dima Merheb Yammine, the founder of “Y9 Sports” group Mr. Yasser Al-Hajj and the Tournament Coordinator Mr. Jimmy Makhlouf.
The Lebanese Army team “ARMY A” for men, “MIDGET” from Beirut for women and “MENTALITY” from Tripoli for the under-18 category were ranked First in this 3×3 Basketball tournament.
