Ehdeniyat 2009

Ehdeniyat 2009 was composed of culture, artistic, authentic and environmental events. In addition to special animations, characters and plays for children. Ehdeniyat was launched in August 2009: the first week entitled “Ehden, the world artisan workshop” where several countries presented their culture and traditions such as: Mexico, Brazil, Armenia and Iran.
The second week entitled “Ehden, the joy of children” where children had the chance to play with special games, do dome handcrafts and watch children plays and characters parade.
The third week entitled “Ehden, painting and song” where Umayma el Khalil celebrated the cultural event of Georges Yammine, a cultural and environmental exhibition was organized and memento to Rahbani Brothers and Dalida took places.
Ehdniyat was closured by “Ehden, Kebbeh Festival” where the biggest kebbeh which weighted 233 kg was done by 25 local women. Accordingly, Ehden entered to the Guinness World Record.
